Cherry 2000 (1987)

This is a great movie. I enjoy it because it's so futuristic in some ways, and in others it is very much old school. It rivals the setup of many other films, with how the chase scenes are done. I really enjoy this film much better than a lot of other ones, because I like the more original story and adventure setup, along with the fact a woman is the best guide in the land, or so it seems.

I love the car that they drive, a Mustang. I love older Mustangs. Something about them just says power. It exudes some sort of great power.

The reason behind the quest is a man who is "married" to a robot, and the robot shorts out, causing him to go on a search for a replacement. He only wants that specific model, a Cherry 2000. It is a hard model to find, because it was a limited edition model.

During this search, he realizes that Edith, his guide, is the woman he truly loves, and he gives up the Cherry 2000 to another man.

A scene from the movie, during which we see some of the aspects of this futuristic world
