Child's Play 3 is set eight years after the last film. Andy has since grown up into a young man, and he is at military school because of the insane tale he told as a kid about the killer doll.
A younger boy who is also at the school is told to deliever a package to Andy's room. Ronald finds out that the package is a Good Guy doll, and is excited about the toy. Ronald figures that 16 year old Andy probably wouldn't want the doll, at least that's what I think, and takes the doll somewhere private to play with it.
Chucky realizes that he can possess the body of anyone who knows his true nature, and decides to tell Ronald. He begins the ritual, but is interuppted by the head of the military school who throws Chucky into the trash.
Eventually the kids make it to a carnival and a haunted house at which point the climax of the fighting between Chucky and Andy occurs. Andy eventually tricks Chucky and drops him into a giant fan, and Chucky is cut to pieces. (The fact that he is cut into pieces is very important) Andy is then taken away for questioning.
