Child's Play 2. This is the second movie in the Chucky series, as I refer to it as. This time around, the toy company that made the good guy dolls is trying to recover from the bad publicity of the Chucky killings. Andy's mother agreed with his story and was taken away for psychiatric evaluation, and Andy is placed in foster care. 
Chucky is obsesed with Andy and decides he must find him. Chucky calls the foster care system and claims to be Andy's uncle. He then gets the address of where Andy is located, and then ensues a crazy hour of Chucky trying to transfer his soul into Andy's body.
Of course, Chucky is ultimately beaten again, but not before he racks up a death toll of a dozen or so. It might be less, but that's my rough estimate.
Chucky is eventually "killed" although parts of his plastic body were remade into a new Good Guy doll. It turns out that Chucky spent so much time in the doll body that he is now trapped in it.
