I love this movie. I don't know why, but I would love to just spend a month of a year in utter darkness. Can you imagine how easy it would be to sleep? 
Of course, the story line is a bit dark, to go along with the title. In an Alaskan town during its yearly month of darkness, a group of vampires comes and tries to kill everyone in the town. As the movie progresses, you find out about a love story between two main characters. One of the main characters sacrifices themselves in order to save the rest of the townspeople that are left afterwards. The other main character throws themselves into a life of hunting vampires to avenge the deaths of their loved ones.
